David Brueggen is an associate attorney who focuses on the defense of medical professionals and providers in negligence and civil rights cases. He also defends corporations in premises liability claims.

Because David spent the early part of his career representing plaintiffs, he has insights into and understanding of “the other side.” David began his career at a small general litigation firm where he was responsible for his own case load. He learned the benefits of thorough preparation and focusing on every detail. This opportunity allowed him to gain diverse legal experience in numerous areas of the law, including personal injury litigation; contract negotiation and litigation; lien law; and business organization law.

David attended the University of Notre Dame with initial plans to pursue a medical career. While at Notre Dame, David’s coursework included both medical and business classes. When exposed to business law, he realized his true calling: a law career focused on healthcare and medicine.

David pursued his law degree from DePaul University College of Law. At DePaul, David was editor of the DePaul Health Law Journal and graduated with a Certificate in Health Law.
