Anthony J. Salerno is a senior level associate with the firm with over fifteen years experience in representing doctors, dentists, medical groups and state government officials. He is a Special Assistant Attorney General representing Illinois agencies in condemnation proceedings.

Prior to receiving his law license, Anthony practiced law for the State of Illinois with a Supreme Court Rule 711 license, assisting in federal trials and preparing dispositive motions.

Upon graduation from The John Marshall Law School (JD 1999), Anthony served as an assistant attorney general for five years, concentrating his practice in the defense of state employees and agencies. In that capacity, he successfully tried several constitutional rights cases to “Not Guilty” verdicts as both first and second chair trial counsel. Anthony is a member of the Federal Trial Bar.

Anthony has significant experience in representation of professional clients involved in medical and dental malpractice litigation. Anthony has defended clients in a diverse range of specialties, including emergency medicine, dentistry, internal medicine, obstetrics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatrics, and radiology. Anthony’s experience is in all aspects of defense litigation from responsive pleadings through resolution in mediation or trial.
